Job Description: Electronics Technician III performs scheduled/unscheduled aircraft/essential flight line service maintenance actions and Calibration Lab services as directed to accomplish VX-31 Flight Schedule. The Aircraft Electronics Technician III shall be experienced in maintaining their assigned T/M/S aircraft electrical generators, load banks, starters, relays, batteries, actuators, circuit breakers, switches, weapons release and control checks, aircraft conventional weapons load team member, aircraft conventional weapons load team leader and aircraft instruments. Also, the candidate shall be knowledgeable in automatic flight control systems, stabilization systems, weapons integration systems and fuel quantity systems. This position may provide technical guidance to lower level technicians. This worker will be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records, attend Shift Change maintenance meetings, perform as a QASO, and be responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower level technicians.  Electronic Technician III applies advanced technical knowledge to solve usually complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturer's manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes.

Experience:  Selected candidate shall have not less than 10 years USN/USMC/USCG Organizational Level NAMP aircraft maintenance support experience. Technicians shall have 5 years T/M/S specific aircraft maintenance experience for the VX-31 T/M/S hired to maintain.  Specific T/M/S experience shall not be greater than 2 years old from the date of last maintained applicable T/M/S aircraft.2-3 years F/A-18G avionics O level experience required.

Skills Needed:
Completed "A" School
Requires 5 Years combined F-18G and F-18E/F organizational support
