Base Hourly Rate:$15.60
Foreign Service Bonus (FSB) 5%
Work Area Differential (WAD) 35%
Hazard Pay 35%
Adjusted Hourly Rate for first forty hours $27.30
Must have a current U.S. passport before deployment
Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
This is a position with a physical rating of heavy. Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience in the Computer and Telecommunications Maintenance Field. Should have experience in the Marine Corps MOS 2847 or equivalent. Must have thorough knowledge of Marine Corps technical publications related to Telephone Systems/Personal Computer Intermediate Repairer. Must have a current Secret Security Clearance.
This position will support the Marine Expeditionary Force in Iraq.
Must pass a physical exam due to the harsh living and working conditions. Criminal background check and drug screen will be conducted.
The Technician must be skilled in Telephone systems/personal computer intermediate maintenance. Technicians in this position will be skilled in and able to diagnose, modify, and perform repairs at the intermediate level on ground common telephone equipment, switchboards, stand alone power supplies, ground common small computers, peripheral devices, and related equipment.
Typical duties include intermediate level repairs and alignments to stand alone power supplies, ground common telephone equipment and ground common small computers, requisitioning of parts, and completing equipment repair orders.
Extreme danger, stress, physical hardships and possible field living conditions associated with this position within a desert camp complex.
Ability to function during an extended assignment at a foreign, in-country facility exposed to seasonal temperature extremes. Ability to cope with shared cafeteria, bath and sleeping quarters. Must be able to walk, kneel, bend and stoop, and have correctable vision. Supervised by the Site Manager or senior Human Resources personnel.
